Chiroso

This coffee comes to us from Blind Monkey, who sourced it directly from Finca Betania in the region of Palestina, Huila. Grown by Linarco Rodriguez Ospina at 1800 meters above sea level, this washed Chiroso showcases a beautifully clean and structured cup profile with notes of lemongrass, orange blossom, mango, and cocoa. Linarco is part of the Ospina family, renowned in Colombia’s specialty coffee scene for producing multiple Cup of Excellence-winning lots. As a third-generation coffee producer, he has continued the family tradition with deep commitment to quality and innovation, experimenting with varieties and processes to craft exceptional flavor profiles. Chiroso, a rare Arabica variety native to Colombia and closely related to Geisha, is gaining global recognition for its floral complexity and refined fruit character. Although still scarce, it is highly prized among roasters and baristas for its delicate and expressive cup. Thanks to Blind Monkey’s ongoing partnership with Linarco, this exclusive lot of washed Chiroso is now available in limited quantities, a true gem for lovers of vibrant and elegant specialty coffee.
